My official ACT composite score was 25 and I was exempt from the GACE Basic Skills Test. I love teaching children and giving help with homework. My focus in school right now is on elementary-aged children but I am open to working with older students as well. I have been accepted into the Education Program for this fall at the University of North Georgia and will start working with kids in real classrooms. I have already taken three introductory teaching classes, those which focus on contemporary social and cultural issues in the classroom, as well as basic skills and strategies for teaching. I have taken college algebra (in which I received an A in the class) and am now taking Pre-Calculus, currently making an A in the class as well. English is my favorite subject. I enjoy writing papers, as well as editing and revising them. I am great with grammar, spelling, and formatting a paper correctly. I am also good at taking tests and pride myself in my study habits. Over the years I have become proficient at staying organized and staying on top of assignments. I always meet deadlines and follow guidelines. Throughout my college career, I have worked as a waitress, which has taught me a lot about self-motivation and interacting well with people of all ages. I was a peer leader and office aide my senior year in high school, and helped younger students make the transition into a new school.

Hobbies

My main hobby is singing. I participate in the University Choir, and do local concerts with them. We recently got back from a tour to the U.K. over Spring Break. I have now become very interested in travel and have seen what great benefits come from it. I am a second degree black belt in TaeKwonDo. I haven't practiced in years but participated in the sport throughout middle and high school. I went to many competitions and helped instruct novice and children's classes. I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends.
